Guatemala, September 26, 2024 - Bi Foundation announces with enthusiasm the launching of the second edition of its "Silver Threads" Program, in alliance with the National Network of Management Groups.

The objective of this program is to promote the economic development of entrepreneurs over the age of 50 by providing them with tools and support to start or strengthen their businesses. The second edition will be held in the municipalities of Quetzaltenango and La Antigua Guatemala, from October 2024 to September 2025.

During this phase, the program will benefit 150 entrepreneurs, providing business incubation that will include training in creativity, innovation, financial management and marketing.

Entrepreneurs will also receive personalized advice and mentoring, improving their business skills and increasing their chances of success and sustainability through 900 hours of mentoring.

At the end of the program, 10 outstanding entrepreneurs will be selected to receive a seed capital of Q5,000.00.

Within its execution, it will take into account those ventures that develop innovative solutions aimed at the needs of the elderly; supporting both those seeking to start new projects and those who wish to expand existing ones.

"Through the Silver Threads Program, we reaffirm our commitment to transform lives, recognizing and valuing the experience of the entrepreneurs who are part of this initiative. At Fundación Bi, our mission is to promote prosperity, supporting entrepreneurs and enhancing their impact on the development of the economy of their communities," said María José Paiz, General Manager of Fundación Bi.

"The Hilos de Plata program is a clear example of how collaboration and strategic support allow our entrepreneurs to strengthen their businesses and generate a positive impact in their communities, hand in hand with experts in business development and financial services," said Roberto Guitierrez, President of the Asociación Red Nacional de Grupos Gestores.

In addition, Fundación Bi will provide financial education and inclusion sessions for 450 people who are part of the different projects of the National Network of Management Groups, which covers 15 municipalities.
