Banco Industrial, through the Bi Foundation's Innovation axis, reaffirms its commitment to excellence in education and the promotion of young talent in Guatemala.

 

Guatemala City, April 30, 2025. - Fundación Bi awarded university scholarships to 13 students of the Impulso al Talento Académico (ITA) program of the Universidad Francisco Marroquín (UFM).

 

The beneficiaries, from different departments of the country, such as Baja Verapaz, Chimaltenango, Guatemala, Sololá, El Progreso and Chiquimula, were selected for their dedication, academic performance and commitment to their professional development.

 

This initiative is part of the Bi Foundation's ongoing effort to expand opportunities for access to high quality education for young Guatemalans.

 

During the ceremony, Dr. Monica de Zelaya, dean of the Faculty of Economics at UFM and co-founder of the ITA program, said:

 

"We believe deeply in education as a force capable of transforming lives. Today's scholarship recipients have demonstrated talent, commitment and the determination to make a real change. This opportunity opens a new path and represents, at the same time, a commitment to positively impact their communities and the country."
