Guatemala, April 13, 2026. Guatemalan taekwondo is once again making a name for itself on the international stage, and this time it holds special significance for Fundación Bi, thanks to the victory of junior athletes Carol Acajabón and Felix Camey, who won gold medals at the Dominican Republic G-1 Open.

Seeing Carol and Felix standing atop the podium is a testament to years of hard work, discipline, and dreams that began to take shape at the Foundation’s taekwondo centers.

They recall their early training sessions and how, over time, they honed their skills until they reached where they are today—national team members whose victories bring honor to Guatemala.
Carol Acajabón won the gold medal in the -42kg youth category, while Felix Camey did the same in the -63kg youth category.

At Fundación Bi, through its "Crecer" initiative, we believe that sports are a tool for personal and social transformation, offering positive alternatives to foster a culture of peace and build stronger communities.

The Social and Sports Program offers free sports activities for children and youth ages 5 to 17 in boxing, gymnastics, taekwondo, judo, soccer, and swimming, along with values education based on Olympic principles, safe environments, and comprehensive support for participants.
