Guatemala, October 2, 2024 - With the purpose of continuing to promote education to generate a lasting and significant impact on society, Bi Foundation establishes a strategic alliance with the Universidad del Istmo. Through this collaboration, it seeks to create an endowment fund to provide 65% scholarships to students of the Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, which contributes significantly to improving access to higher education in the field of health.

The program stands out for its comprehensive and humanized approach, where students acquire a solid theoretical and practical training, with supervised clinical experiences from the first semester. The curriculum covers essential areas such as medicine, surgery, community health, geriatrics and palliative care, which guarantees a complete and high quality preparation.

UNIS has a prestigious faculty, which includes international professors from countries such as Colombia and Spain, and maintains agreements with leading health institutions. These alliances ensure an academic education of excellence, and train future professionals to work in the public and private sectors.

In addition, the university will provide annual reports on the use of scholarship funds to ensure transparency and compliance with the agreed objectives.

"In Bi Foundation we believe in education as the basis for development. This partnership with UNIS is key to train future health professionals, who will be agents of change in their communities," said María José Paiz, General Manager of Fundación Bi.

Francisco Mejía, Rector of Universidad del Istmo, commented: "Thanks to this alliance we will be able to train more health care leaders. We are convinced that, with the support of Fundación Bi, our nursing graduates will make a real difference in the lives of many people. And that is, without a doubt, the best legacy we can build together".
